The Fort Worth Public Library offers a variety of story times and activities to delight children and their families. Please check the Library's Event Calendar to confirm days and times on any programs listed below.

Booker

Booker’s Alley Cable Program  

Booker the Armadillo lives in the Library, and he loves to share great stories with you in your very own home!  Booker’s Alley is our televised story time, broadcast daily on Cable Channel 31 at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  There’s a different episode each week, and we include stories in both English and Spanish.   Videos of past episodes can be checked out from the Library.

BOLD

On-demand Read to Me story times whenever a child asks.  We’ll read any book they bring us, or we’ll select something they’ll enjoy.

Central Library

Bearly Bedtime

Tuesdays 6:00 p.m.
Wear your favorite PJ's and join us for an evening story time for families.

Preschool Story Time  

Wednesdays 10:30 a.m.
Join us in the Central Library’s Discovery for Preschool Story Time.  Stories, puppets, songs, fun, and early literacy information for parents and caregivers.  Designed for children ages 3 to 5, but all ages are welcome.

Monday nights, 7:00 p.m.
Stories for the whole family. Children are invited to wear their PJs and bring their blankies and stuffed animals for bedtime stories. 

Ridglea Branch Story Times

Preschool Story Time
Fridays 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. 
Open to all.  Stories, songs, and crafts

1st Monday of the month 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Seminary Story Time

Para los Niños
1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 10:30 a.m.
Bilingual story and craft time.  Ms. Rachel will read a story in both English and Spanish and then lead a craft relating to that story. 

Ella Mae Shamblee Story Time

Designed for ages 3-6.  Books, finger plays, songs, and puppets.

Southwest Regional Library Story Times

Family Story Time 
Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
All Ages are Welcome 
Age-appropriate interactive storytelling and story sharing, finger plays and action songs, flannel board stories, nursery rhymes and songs, puppet shows, and crafts to extend the stories and engage the child’s imagination.  Early literacy tips for caregivers.
