Home Central Loan Program
A home that’s kept in good repair is an asset to its owner and to the community. But not every homeowner has enough cash on hand to fix a leaky roof or shaky stairs, or repair things that get worn out through long use.
Homeowners in Fort Worth’s Central City have a new opportunity to fix up their homes and revitalize their neighborhoods. It’s called the Home Central Loan Program. It is a partnership of a local financial institution, the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Housing Trust Fund.
Home Central loans for as little as $5,000 are available to residents of the Central City (inside Loop 820) who meet the income guidelines. Qualified applicants receive an interest rate slightly lower than market rate.
Generally, a project qualifies if it helps make a home safe and habitable. Not qualifying, for example, would be patios, hot tubs and fireplaces.
To be eligible for a loan, the owners must meet income guidelines.
