Emergency Repair Program

Income eligible homeowners in the City of Fort Worth can qualify for up to $5,000 in emergency repairs.  This includes water and gas leaks, sewer breaks, electrical problems or situations caused by accidents or natural disasters.

This program provides home repairs which, if neglected, pose immediate threats to the health and safety of homeowners.  The following problems or emergencies may qualify.

To participate in the program, you must:

• Live in the City of Fort Worth
• Own and occupy your home for at least 6 months prior to applying

• Provide verification of household income

That's all it takes to get you started.  But REMEMBER, the required paperwork must be returned to Housing and Economic Development within 14 calendar days from the time of the assessment.
