Fort Worth's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit
In December 1996, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued the City of Fort Worth an NPDES Storm Water Discharge Permit for its municipal separate storm sewer system or "MS4." The permit's five-year period expired in 2001, although it continued in effect until the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality issued the City a permit under the state's Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimation System program in February 2006.
