Solid Waste Services Division

The Solid Waste Services Division provides residential curbside collection of garbage, recyclables, yard trimmings, brush and bulky items to the residents of Fort Worth, as well as cleanup of illegal dump sites. It also regulates commercial solid waste haulers within the city.

Environmental Services Division

Air and Water Quality Section

The Air and Water Quality Section assists the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) with permitting, compliance inspections, complaint investigation, enforcement and air monitoring. The section also is responsible for monitoring and maintaining water quality in urban lakes, rivers, neighborhood creeks and storm drains.

Compliance Section

The Compliance Section provides waste disposal and environmental issue support at city-owned and city-occupied facilities. The section also manages the city's household hazardous waste collection facility.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Section
