Monitoring Wells

From time to time, Fort Worth property owners or their consultants contact the Department of Environmental Management about a need to conduct sub-surface environmental sampling or install monitoring wells in City rights-of-way. These activities require a right-of-way use agreement between the property owner and the City. The procedure for obtaining the agreement is spelled out in Article 1, Division 4 of the City Environment Code.

The procedure is a two-step process: the informal request, which provides preliminary information to the Department, and the formal request, which provides detailed information about the sampling/monitoring well. This provision of the Environment Code is available below in PDF format.
