File a complaint or get more information about garbage and recycling services by calling 817-392-EASY (3279), between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturdays. You also can e-mail your questions and requests to trash@fortworthgov.org.
Missed Pickup?
If your garbage or recycling cart is not emptied on your collection day by 7 p.m., you must report your missed pickup within 24 hours of your pickup day for it to be picked up. To report a missed pickup, have your water account number ready and use our online reporting tool. Missed pickups also can be reported to 817-392-EASY (3279) or trash@fortworthgov.org if you do not have your water account number.

Disabled Carryout Service
Residents who are temporarily or permanently disabled and unable to transfer their garbage/recycling carts to the curb for pickup may request carryout service. To qualify, you must meet the follow criteria:
- No one else lives in the household or is employed by the resident who is capable of transferring the garbage/recycling carts to the curb.
- A physician or optomometrist must certify that the resident's disability is of a nature that prevents transferring of garbage/recycling carts to the curb.
- The application for carryout service must be completed annually from the original application date to avoid discontinuance of service.
If you meet the above criteria:
- Download a Disabled Carryout Service application
- Forward the entire form to your physician, who should ensure that the section titled "Disability Statement" is filled in completely and signed by the physician.
- Mail the completed application to:
