Candidate Site Database

The Department of Environmental Management maintains a database of "candidates for redevelopment." It is important to note that this is NOT a database of contaminated properties. Rather, it is a database of commercial and industrial properties in the city that are inactive or have been abandoned. Approximately 455 properties are currently profiled in the database. Site information includes owner information, street address, legal description, MAPSCO grid, zoning, number of acres, square footage of buildings on site, appraised value (per Tarrant Appraisal District), photographs and comments. Economic development information and transportation information will be added as the database grows. The information has also been incorporated into the city's Geographic Information System, which allows us to utilize the information for planning and other purposes. Sites will continue to be added as they are identified. The database is not available online.
